Parents and Carers

As qualified assessors, we can undertake cognition and learning assessments which will give you a clear picture of your child's skills, knowledge, and understanding in the core subject areas of word recognition, phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, maths, and understanding of spoken language.

We will talk to you and your child to gain a wider understanding of their learning needs and provide you with a written report detailing the results of the assessment, your child's strengths and areas for development. The report will also include suggested strategies you can use at home. If you are requesting an Education Health Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) or are already further on in the Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process, our report will provide much-needed detail to strengthen your application.

We recognise you as the expert on your child and you will always be treated as equal partners in the process.

There are many benefits for children to be educated together in mainstream schools and this can be highly successful for children with additional needs when an inclusive environment is created.

We can help you to talk to your child's school about your child's needs, helping you to ensure that your child has access to the same opportunities as their peers.

Usually the assessment would take place in your child's school or setting, but alternative arrangements can be made if requested. Please use the contact form to get in touch if you have any questions.

The cost is £300 for approximately 3 hours with your child plus meetings with you and the written report.
